Erica Meraz resides in the orange blossomed city of Riverside, California where she keeps one hand on the Pacific Ocean and the other on the Salton Sea.

Beginning in 2017, the language of the birds taught Erica to dream. Ever since, she has pursued life as a student of language, the dreaming world, and the poets.

Her current explorations focus on the voices of the desert, the exuberance of broken places, and poetic connection and collaboration.
